Abs became a standard feature bmw

Having started the implementation of Antilock brakes (ABS) on the motor 23 years ago, BMW Motorrad has finally announced that they would become the first motorcycle manufacturer in the world to make the ABS as a standard tool in the entire line up of the bike.
As reported by the press release BMW Motorrad, Sunday (04/24/2011) ABS will be standard for motor model 2012.

It's time for us all the motorcycle industry to use the benefits of ABS systems. Test the depth by the expert's security, law enforcement authorities and journalists have consistently shown that ABS can reduce accidents and save lives of motorists, "said Pieter de Waal, Vice President, BMW Motorrad USA.

Pieter hope that the implementation of ABS can reduce the number of accidents involving motorcycles. Besides ABS, BMW has also introduced other technologies to improve the safety of motorists, such as :

- Implemented "Adaptive Headlight" for increased security at night is available on 2012 BMW K 1600 K 1600 GT and GTL.

- Application of multi-controller on the left handle (available on 2012 BMW K 1600 K 1600 GT and GTL), which allows the rider to operate a motorcycle system and adjust the settings so much easier rider in driving.

- Electronic Suspension Adjustment II or ESA, to adjust the suspension with a single touch of a button.

- Dynamic Traction Control serves to reduce the risk of slippage and improve motor control on bad roads.

- The world's first motor that uses a catalytic converter and closed loop fuel injection to reduce fuel consumption.
